Sinus Infection Treatment in San Antonio, TX

In-Office Balloon Sinus Dilation

Our ENT doctor, Dr. Kevin Browne, has expertise in performing in-office balloon sinus dilation. This minimally-invasive dilation of narrow or obstructed sinus passages is an excellent solution for resolving chronic sinus infections in eligible patients. Done under a local anesthetic in our practice, no sedation is needed and there is minimal pain afterwards. Patients normally return to work the very next day.

Endoscopic Sinus Surgery

If you suffer severe nasal obstruction due to a deviated septum or polyps and you’re not eligible for in-office sinus dilation, outpatient surgery is available endoscopically. This procedure is minimally invasive and uses only the latest technology, including balloon dilation in the ambulatory surgical center, with image-guided technology available if needed. You won’t even have to worry about nose packing or splints, resulting in quicker recovery times.

Endoscopic Septoplasty

Dr. Browne has refined this endoscopic approach, allowing precise anatomical correction of the deviated nasal septum. This innovative technique, through a tiny incision in the nostril, restores obstructed nasal breathing without the need for packing or splints. Patients experience little pain post-surgery with no swelling or bruising. Many recover over a single weekend.

Point of Care CT Scanning

Starting with diagnosis, SA Sinus prides itself on having the latest technology. Xoran Mini-CAT in-office CT scanning provides point of care CT evaluation of the sinuses. Using very low radiation, it allows for rapid testing and immediate results are available for review with Dr. Browne in just one visit.

Fully accredited by the ICACTL, which ensures the highest standards for safe CT scanning, our lab utilizes the lowest possible radiation for all patients, including strict ALARA standards for children.
